How's Mom today?

Steady.

Home care you can count on.

Hire caregivers directly. AI does the rest. You choose vetted caregivers, and AI handles the schedule, backups, payments and live updates from every visit.

Companion care is typically $23.50 an hour, about 30% less than typical home care. A few hours a week is fine.

A plan from day oneNot sure what Mom needs? An AI intake, by phone or in the app, helps you build a care plan

What we believe

Care shouldn't cost this much.

There's no reason an hour of care should cost twice what your caregiver earns.

Home care isn't expensive because caregivers are overpaid. They aren't. It isn't expensive because margins are thin. It's expensive because the industry still runs on phone calls, spreadsheets and twenty-year-old software, and families pay for every minute of it.

Why we built Steady

Your dog walker sends a map of every walk. Your mother's caregiver sends nothing.

Most families still find out how the day went from a sign-in sheet on the fridge. In national surveys of home care clients, communication scores lowest of anything, year after year. You should know more about Mom's afternoon than your dog's walk. Steady shows you when the caregiver arrived, what Mom ate, whether she got outside, and the small moment she shared.

A 30 minute dog walk

  • A map of the route
  • Photos from the park
  • Exact pickup and drop-off times
  • A note on how it went

A 4 hour visit with Mom

  • A timesheet, signed
  • A call if something goes wrong
Who sees Mom most

Her doctor gets twenty minutes. Her caregivers get every week.

Each caregiver has an AI teammate that knows what to watch for. So you hear about a skipped lunch or a slower walk this week, and can bring a health report to her next appointment. In typical home care, the records belong to the company. On Steady, they belong to your family.

That's the bet behind Steady. AI gives a $17–$20 an hour caregiver expert know-how, so the person who sees Mom most can catch what matters. No credential bottleneck, and no back office.

Your whole care team, in one app

Steady is built on the software our own home care team uses every day. Here is what families and caregivers see.

Today screen: a live visit card with a photo Tasha shared of Ruth playing cards, Tasha checked in with Ruth, and summary tiles for visits, updates, care team and payments
Watch the visit as it happensSee when the caregiver arrived, what's done, and the moments worth sharing, live.
How Ruth has been: a care assistant summary, with mood at her usual and meals lower than usual for the last two visits
Spot changes earlyWeek by week, the care assistant compares Mom with her own usual and tells you what's different.
Schedule screen: this week's visits with the caregiver for each one, and an open Friday request with two caregivers offering to cover
Your schedule, always currentEvery visit and who's coming. Ask for a change and your care assistant handles it.
Messages screen: Dee offering to cover Friday, a note from the care assistant to pick who comes, and the care team thread
Backup without the phone callsWhen Tasha is off, others on Ruth's team offer to cover. You pick who comes.
